The Pentagon Canceled a Mysterious ‘LifeLog’ Tracker Days Before Facebook Was Founded


This is a pretty interesting “coincidence” that, whatever you may think about it, there’s real evidence that the U.S. intelligence community is much closer to the social media industry than is public.

The early description of DARPA’s “LifeLog” reads like a features list of what Facebook has become, and Facebook has even hired DARPA veterans to work there, including the designer of Facebook Portal — the video portal that tracks you when you enter a room.

When you consider the legal framework the NSA’s PRISM program has to take user data from social media companies, you really have to ask yourself: was the IC guiding social media since its inception?
